Most enjoyable stay -
We were made to feel at home immediately by a friendly greeting as we arrived. Christine even offered to carry our bags up to the room. Our room was beautiful with everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the biscuits to go with morning tea were yummy. There was a whole array of goodies for breakfast with Christine ensuring we had everything we needed. We will definitely choose to book here again should we be in the Lake District. Many thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

Christine and Les were excellent hosts and could nt do enough for us.The house was spotlessly clean with lovely decor and a lovely breakfast .We had a fab day on lake Windermere using a freedom ticket for the steam boats and thoroughly enjoyed the stop offs especially Bowness. We would suggest if you wish to walk rather than take the car to lakeside then there is a train round the corner from The Swan Hotel in Newby Bridge for a small fee that you can catch as we found the road quite narrow and dangerous to walk at times.Overall we had a lovely well rested break and would highly recommend this Guest house.

Perfect in every way. -
Well situated for southern lakeland:Windermere, Grange over Sands, Cartmel, Grizedals, Hawkshead, Kendal etc with good fast connecting roads at the end of the drive. Situated at beautiful Newby Bridge with plenty of pubs serving food within 15 mn drive or 2 hotels within walking distance (but they can be busy with weddings so you might have to drive to a pub).Despite being on a busy main road the house is quiet so you dont hear the traffic as its set back with well kept gardens. We were greeted as we got out of the car which was nice, by friendly Christine. She was extremely helpful and knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. She told us of places to eat, how long journeys would take and how to avoid parking fees by suggesting alternative parking places.Parking is expensive in the Lakes so be warned! She was an expert on local walks too and seems to know about everything! The room was large, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, very well appointed, big fluffy towels with good shower, comfy bed, tea/coffee facilities, glasses,tv, armchairs - perfect.Breakfast was whatever you wanted. Full English perfectly cooked, plenty of it with choice of cereals, healthy option of fruit and yoghurt, and juice too. Home made bread and jams and many locally sourced quality products used.Christine and Les want you to have an enjoyable stay and will advise on anything you ask them. They also want you to be comfortable and be well rested. The house is quiet at night with respectful guests so everyone gets a good nights sleep. We found Lyndhurst the perfect place to stay and will be back when we next visit lakeland.

We had a Fantastic time at Lyndhurst Country Guest House. -
On arrival we had a warm welcome from Christine. Then we went in to the lounge for tea/coffee and some biscuits that were very nice of them.Room two was fantastic and very clean. So was the bed very comfortable we got a good night sleep. At breakfast Les cook us he special black pudding with egg, toast it was excellent and well presented. We highly recommend you won’t be disappointed when you stay at the guest house. If you have a problem ask Christine she is really helpful if you need information on places to go and eating out at Newby Bridge. On leaving Christine and Les said goodbye that was very nice of them which made us feel great at the end of the holiday.

We stayed at the Lyndhurst Country Guest House for three nights 30th June to 3rd July 2016.We were very pleased with the our well equipped bedroom, which was very clean had comfortable beds and felt like home from home. The breakfasts that we were served were superb and generally kept us full all day.Our hosts Christine and Les, who were more like old friends than people that we had only just met, could not be any more helpful, there was not anything that they would not do to make our stay enjoyable. The guest house is situated within easy reach of the lakes, restaurants, pubs, and a smart garage / supermarket. If we came to this area again we would mostdefinitely stay here.

We would highly recommend a stay with Les and Christine, the house and our room was exactly as described, very clean, and nothing was too much trouble. We went up for a relaxing long weekend for a change to the South Lakes, and Christine pointed out local walks with different lengths we did from the doorstep, which was great, Christine even offering us a flask, nothing was too much trouble for her, we only used the car on one occasion on the last day to venture further afield for a pub meal which made a change from rushing around everywhere, there are 3 hotels/pubs within 4 mins walking from Lyndhurst to choose from, an ideal location if you want to stay local or explore further. Les's breakfasts were spot on. We would definitely go back there. Terry &Pauline

What more can you ask for! -
Fantastic hosts, very clean, perfect setting and delicious breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we were made to feel welcome instantly, the room was meticulously clean and big (we stayed in the king/twin room). The main areas that put this B and B over the many others I have stayed at is the easy parking, having a full B and B and still being quiet (which was really important as I had an interview) and also having enough room to do work, really quick WIFI, fresh breakfast with homemade products available for purchase (the damson jam is delicious) and even allowing us to have breakfast earlier. We also want to wish you luck in your new holiday cottage, I am sure it will be just as fantastic as your B and B. Also, thank you for the really kind offer of staying while we get settled and if I have any more interviews in the area I will be sure to come to you first.Thank you so much again,Sophie and Tom.
It was lovely to meet you both. Thank you so much for all your great comments, they are always much appreciated. We wish you both well in the future and hope that you find great jobs you both deserve. Best wishes from Lyndhurst

Enjoyable Break -
From the warm welcome with coffee &lemon cake we enjoyed the warm hospitality of Christine &Les. Excellent breakfast with home made bread was backed up by excellent advice on local attractions - &discount vouchers for many of them. The B&B itself is spotless and beautifully presented and quiet even though located on a busy roundabout - so don't be put off !The only slight problem was that our room (4) was, shall we say 'compact' - but this was pointed out on the booking site so this is not a complaint. Get rooms 1 - 3 if you can, but don't be put off if only room 54 is available. All round an excellent B&B,. Highly Recommended !

Extremely well maintained, spacious and with a full sized bed we found this small B&B convenient for the southern lakes and Furness easy to reach and to find. There is a list of walks from the door and adequate parking, 2 good dinner venues are within 400 yards on either side of the A590. We were made very welcome on arrival with a pot of tea and our choice of home-made cake.

Wonderful B&B -
We were undecided as to which of the 2 B&B's to select in Newby Bridge, but a previous review posting about the delicious chocolate cake, swung it for us and we are so glad that we chose to stay at this lovely B&B. Christine and Les made us feel most welcome and the B&B was 5 star - a very comfortable and immaculate room and lovely touches with home made biscuits left in the room. Breakfasts were delicious, with the added benefit of home made breads and conserves. We would certainly recommend Lyndhurst Country Guest House - thank you.

The hosts were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and they are provided with recommended walks and places to eat. The full English Breakfast each morning was delicious. It is locally sourced and so we found ourselves visiting the farm shop Saturday morning to pick up some of our own sausages and bacon! This really is a lovely little b&b and I would definitely recommend.

Mid Week Tranquil Break' -
The Lyndhurst is a beautiful tranquil place to stay. The room had everything we could wish for. The lady of the house Christine was extremely welcoming, she provided us with coffee and cake in the lounge as we arrived she also gave my husband and myself information and advise about local walks and places to eat. We have stayed in some beautiful and quite expensive hotels in the lakes over the last 30 years, but I have to say this was both a wonderful place to stay and value for money.Thank you.
Thank you Anita for your wonderful review. We are so pleased that you both had a great time, we look forward to welcoming your friends to Lyndhurst in August and hope to welcome you back sometime in the future.Best wishesLes and Christine
